This was my thought as well, but the dudes losing their shit because someone said Super 8 is on par with Repro 5 aren't going to respond to you on this, sadly but inevitably. Which of course reveals the actual depth of their opinions on the matter.

I wonder what kind of sequencer will be in MX compared to the sequencer in Pigments....

There's 3 quite flexible performers, with 12 snapshots that are keyswitchable.

DSP in this thing is state of the art. You can FM a wavetable with another wavetable, while doing FM on both wavetables simultaneously AND sweeping them, and it's clean af.
Oh yas! This is what I'm waiting for! :)
Featured that are actually new not just repacked into different GUI and name.

I hope my old boy 4790k will survive min 1 instance ;)

It should. :)

I hope it has multi-core support...

It's utilizing AVX (vector extensions, which is processing multiple input variables, usually 4, in the same CPU clock), which is already a huge saver as far as processing power required. Not sure if the engine itself is using multiple cores, there's no option for it. But if it didn't use AVX, no CPU would be good enough, really. :)

Here's what I don't understand, and maybe it's just my PC, though as new as it is I can't understand why. When I turn on multi core, especially for something like Diva, performance is worse. I mean dreadfully worse to the point where I can't use it.

So I don't get it. Why do people want multi core? It doesn't do me any good at all.

That might depends on your DAW. I always have a much better performance here if i enable multi-core in my synths like f.e. Dune 3, Repro, Diva and some more.
But i think some DAWs multi-core settings will not run well with these.
It´s a bit of trial and error with different set-ups maybe.
But while my single core performance is not so good it saves me some trouble if i enable multi-core everywhere by default. In Logic i always set it to automatic. Works for me. Some tools like Kaleidoscope are even not usable without using all the cores for me (which are 4cores/8threads for me).
Multi-core is for me anyway the future since i prefer to use mobile devices like notebooks which are more limited in single core and anyway throttle down after short time while i can handle a lot more with multi-core support here.
Maybe also it depends on the buffer. So if you are below 128 i think multi-core get in trouble as well.

Just did the 50% off upgrade to 12 (Summer Saver!) as I guess a lot of people will do to get Massive X (cheaper to upgrade to 12 Ultimate than the price of Massive X on its own) :tu:
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Maybe its your processor, I am on an i7 and it makes a massive difference, I wouldn't dream of using Diva without multi-core.

I am also on an I7, just recently upgraded with 16 GIG RAM. There is no reason why single core should work better than multi core.
