Here's what I don't understand, and maybe it's just my PC, though as new as it is I can't understand why. When I turn on multi core, especially for something like Diva, performance is worse. I mean dreadfully worse to the point where I can't use it.

So I don't get it. Why do people want multi core? It doesn't do me any good at all.

It's Cubase's fault, it's very finnicky when plugins try to do their own core handling.

No issues here on Reaper - toggling MC in Diva reduces CPU load as it should.

It is interesting, how about unison engine? Will it replace Dune 3/ Hive 2 in that term?

Not really, that's not what MX is about (like how Dune touts thousands of simultaneous oscillators). You can get extremely lush sounds from just a single voice, without any unison...

I only turned it on at the VST level. I never touch DAW settings.

EDIT: Doesn't seem to have it. There are some scales for locking the unison voices to them, or chords (pretty interesting feature). That's not to say that at some point they wouldn't be including microtuning.


On the other hand, you can use the trackers to create your own tuning scale...

There is, via wavetables. Also there's a myriad of ways to bend those wavetables into all sorts of interesting waveforms...
