i kinda need some input for it to sound authentic and realistic to go for the time period, or maybe some feedback for more elements to be added.

very cool. love the groove & bass, tons of potential in this. Mixing: the drum and bass slightly overwhelm the other elements.
maybe suggest something happening in the upper octaves now and again. piano is a nice touch.
saxophone might fit in somewhere.

Y'know I was thinking of adding some sort of female vocal samples just sprinkled throughout or as a chorus line. Never thought of using saxophones in a song before but I'll try it.
