What is the purpose - musical or meaningwise - of adding the Stairway to Heaven bit in that performance?

I never believed there was objectively bad music until I saw that video. Even Justin Bieber has enough sense not to commit such an artistic atrocity.

Not mindblowing at all, and the musician who played it
should practice ordering keyboard keypresses to be
timed more like a guitarists picks and strums.

If pretending it were a real guitar, I'd wonder why they went to such extremes
