These two cover a lot of bases.
But maybe I'm missing something new & good.
What do you suggest I look at?
I'm not genre-fixated, and like a lot of things.
Must be 4k GUI.
btw had a major disk crash last week. Wrecked my system. So am now looking at all things new

rob .... TAL are v niche.
Looking for more of a "general synth" that's new & good.
Thanks for kicking this off. Like your Dune 3 basses.

Sounds like you want something that can cover a lot of basses.
For that, I'd recommend any one of these.
Omnisphere 2
Falcon
Absolute
Komplete
All are pricey but will cover just about anything. To that end, Komplete is probably your best bet. That alone and you will never need anything else, possibly for the rest of your life.

You're pretty set. You are missing a good FM synth.
Bazille (unique modular style - not a straight forward FM synth but an amazing synth that has lots of happy accidents)
Arturia DX7 (I would say the best UI for a straight forward FM synth)
Flow Motion (often cheap and I like the UI a lot - though some don't)
And another Wavetable and VA synth:
I also love Pigments. Pigments and Avenger are my favorite synths. though there is some redundancy with Dune and Avenger, it is such a pleasure to work in.

Well, Komplete 12 is the newest version of Komplete. It contains Massive X which people are raving about.
But what's new? How old does something have to be before it's not new anymore? 6 months, 3 months? Gotta give us more than just new because new is a relative term.
But if you want to go absolute new, then there's not really anything. At least nothing that isn't niche.
I mean you've got Pigments and Phaseplant by Kiolohearts, which is very new, sounds really good, covers a wide variety, but can also get pretty expensive if you want the whole thing as they sell it in different levels from basic all the way up to the kitchen sink, which gets VERY expensive unless you already own some of their stuff as they give discounts.
But brandy new, outside of that, not much. It has not be the best time for synth development. The market is flooded and stuff doesn't come out as much as it used to.

You know what Kev, this is going to sound like the stupidest suggestion in the whole world. I own over 100 synths. I use about a handful of them. How about making music with what you have? I bet you can do it and not even miss what you don't have.
Give it a try.
Give it a try.

Why don't you just buy a nice hardware synth and an FX pedal? What kind of music you making, example? Otherwise your gonna get absolutely no joy here matekevvvvv wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:00 pm These two cover a lot of bases.

Time you fork out for a few soft synths you could have yourself a new HW synth with some nice hands on control, just saying
