How much would you give for Komplete Ultimate 12?

Buy and sell, post special offers, group buys, etc. NOT product announcements.

Just a guess but KVR you'd probably get around 600-700 euros, elsewhere you'd probably get more like 900 euros.

I guess that is an applicable guess, since thats more or less the price you'll pay for crossgrade paths (free libs - Kontakt - Komplete U) two times the year.

A percentage off of whatever their last half off sale of that product was.
e.g. If list is $1200 and the last sale put it at $600, then chances are you'll get $480-$600 for it.
But the real rule is whatever the market will bear. Which makes it more of a calculation between their desire, your need and your patience.
Most KVRians are savvy enough to quickly dismiss any NI product that's not at least 50% of list though. However, you only need one person to buy it. So it comes back to what you first need to get for it.

Not sure if that's really "savvy". A reasonably recent software product should be more worth than 50% off used.

But, as you wrote, it really depends on what the market will bear. I sold a lot of plugins for about 60 to 70% off here. There's a big cheapskate attitude here since a few years though. I got more buyers who were willing to pay more some years ago.Nowadays, you offer your popular plugins for 50% off, and people will jump on you, offering 30% of the new price. That's not savvy, that's greedy.

Don't want to argue about Komplete Ultimate's value of use, but discussing the value of trade I think if a company offers a product on stable discount prices multiple times a year one can consider that as a kind of retail price.

It's only NI products that I would use that formula for. Other companies get their own. U-he, for example, would be closer to 20%-30% off list and the lower prices we see ATM, is a direct result from them allowing NI to connect with them. NI is starting to make a reputation for themselves as a company that will pimp out others cheaply just to make themselves seem better.
Other companies, like Wusik for instance, is honestly a 95% loss in selling second-hand. iZotope, is probably around a 60-70% from list, and there's a whole skew of others that I didn't buy into because their marketing schemes looked questionable from the start. Scanning through the secondhand market here can give you a pretty good idea of who they are.
