And this is our 'Hoser' accent. One of the few that is distinctive to my ears.

You and the Newfie Keef haven't been to Canada. Those guys you posted are the old skule mullet Canadian comedy. Funny stuff but they are like 20 years out of touch. Look up Russell Peters stand up skits on YT. He's more accurate with better representation of current comedy that is relevant to Canada

Russell Peters is hilarious! Friends of mine caught him live in Chicago and said it was the funniest show they ever went to, and I saw his HBO specials. Would love to see him live.

I know TPB is not really typical of anywhere in Canada (it's a comedy show!), but I thought the show is set in Newfoundland isn't it?

No idea. Never really watched it. But those kinds of places and people like in that show can be found everywhere in buttsville Ontario and New Brunswick.

I think from the accent (Bubbles at least) it was somewhere in that corner of Canada.

I used to hang out in highschool with a girl who was the secretary in the Kids' movie 'Brain Candy.' Her best friend's father won the Nobel for Economics a while back. Strange crowd, and these two were ditzy as ditzy comes.

You haven't watched great Canadian TV until you've watched every season of 'The Beachcombers' and 'Celebrity Cooks.'
