Restore Automation control Problem

Hi there,
following problem:

1. I've got a couple of clips in the launcher with several automations running.
2. I'd like to play with the parameters via a controller. In consequence the automated data changes and the preserved data in the clip is being ignored due to the live adjustements.
3. I launch the next clip, but the live adjusted parameters stay where they are as long as I press the "restore automation control" button.

Problem with that is, that in live situations there is no time to press the button, especially when using controllers (Push here), I need to use the mouse, or the touch interface.

Is there any way of forcing the saved automation data in the clip as the "master"-data?

this automation-restore button is a one of the biggest nonsense function for me
same ableton.
