Strategy guitar causes sync error message in Logic X

Whenever I use Strategy I get the "Error when trying to synchronize audio with midi", then it gives some funky sample rate, and the whole project stops working. It is only that plugin that it happens with. The plugin is unusable and any project that it's on becomes unusable. Anybody else have a problem with this?

It only seems to happen in pattern mode, and then after I switch it between pattern and solo a bunch of times does it start to work. Nobody has had this problem? I got 32 gigs and 1 year old iMac. Much bigger libraries work just fine.
