Well, I thought I'd try this plugin. I haven't bought it (more demoing required) but actually, it sounds pretty good. I had a drum track lying around (not me unfortunately) and made a before and after. Both tracks were peak-matched so the increase in volume is purely down to the RMS increase by SweetDrums (and/or SoundCloud, but they both peaked at around -2.5dBFS inside of Reaper):

Without SweetDrums:

With SweetDrums:

For a quick and easy way to make drums sound better, this is actually useful!

Hello cprompt,

Thanks for demoing Sweet Drums and sharing your samples with us.

Hope, you like it more!

Also, "Sweet Drums" is the one of best solutions for 808. (Or any e.drums) It will give life, punch and depth to lifeless samples.

We will share new 1 Minute Demo with 808, later today.

Thanks.

It's special processor for drums. But what if we put it on our master bus? Lets see!

Remove harsh sound, add clarity and definition!

I wish it was possible to have control over equalization curves, cutting/boosting frequency range, and resonance. Sounds too scooped and resonant to my taste when pushed...

Well, don't push it so much then, that's what the plugin does. I guess if it doesn't work for you, then it's not the right plugin for you. I think it sounds pretty good on drums and electric guitars, adds some compression and takes out those boxy frequencies. For the money, it's useful to me.

Well thanks for the obvious answer...that's why I said "my taste". It's just an opinion, not a judgement on the quality of the product. Also I didn't say it doesn't work for me "at all". Sometimes you want to push that kind of processor in a hotter state to reveal some part of a track...but to each his own.
