good old instajungle does more or less what's needed minus midi note triggering. on the upside it is free on the downside it's old, gui-less, 32bits only and rather hard to track these days if one doesn't have a copy in an archive.

I also favour The Finger for these kinds of effects.

stutter effects are very much like making love to a beautiful woman
is there anyone who doesnt love the finger?
getting two or more fingers going together is really good fun
drums with good rhythm, a few fingers and a bit of saturation.

Yeah Instalooper is a cool plug.onerob wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 4:45 pm https://www.audioblast.me/instalooper.html
Free, but doesn't trigger with MIDI notes.
Side note: wonder what happened with Audio Blast. They put out a couple good plugins and haven't done anything since. Last update for Acid Box was well over a year ago.

I have The Finger but have never used it. Is there a good video tutorial anywhere as I could never figure out how to use it?

Stutter edit, Artillery, effectrix, Turnado, and Rhythmizer are the first that jump to mind. There are lots of other ways to do what you want, but all these allow for different effect setups on different keys.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

thank you for all the replies.
the thing I realized alot of these cant do is to have different stutter notes. like in glith2 or effectrix, for stutter you select a certain note length, lets say 1/32 and thats what that certain "part" will do.
but I needed to have multiple different stutter notes, like 1/32, 1/8, 1/6, etc, and to switch between them quickly.
so I found that artillery 2 is the one i need, but i'll revist oter ones before i pull the trigger on artillery 2
