Well, this is for fx, but I guess they could adapt the process to synths as well. So, maybe you could rent a cs-80 online for a few hours.
If I get it correctly you could even implement presets for devices that do not support presets. You would then displace memory in the synth to memory in the external controller. Quirky but it could work.
