I only recently discovered that I am a big fan of your music, as you can tell by my "likes" on Soundcloud.

Experimental, original and no attempt at trying to fit in with the current flavor of the month.

My submission and what inspired me for this track:

The title of my track is taken from a beautiful poem, which touched me deep inside:
http://wondrlust.com/inspiration/footpr ... sand-poem/
It reminds of these moments in life, when you are afraid the worst will happen and often things turn out not to be so bad at all or even the complete opposite of what you feared.

There is also a corresponding scene in the fantastic movie "Yesterday", which I really recommend watching. Short synopsis of the movie:
After an accident, an unsuccessful musician realizes he's the only one on earth who can remember The Beatles.

Cant you use tyrell n6 ?
I have tried Tyrell, but Bitwig 3.0.2 seems to have a problem with it. Settings did not survive a save/load cylce of the project. Putting two tyrells in a layer module got the settings of the instances confused... GUI has to be set to largest mode for each and every single instance. That restrictions simpley does not work for me. And I simply don't have the patience to fiddle with Zebralette again, even more so because working with wave2zebra is now way to restricted by the rulez (It was technically interesting with my "Stukas Attack" piece...).
Podolski ? The unfinished and sonic underworld have some free soundsets for that also

**** Just a quick note to say that I have updated my track ****

I noticed that after some of my small pitch bends on the sax solo part of the track I had not always returned to zero! This meant that some of the solo (1:18 - 2:20) was very slightly out of tune! Maybe 0.5 - 1.0 cents at the most, but I could hear it, and now it's fixed … re-enjoy!

I might still add in a few more choked hats along the way, I need to be a bit more critical about their placing and interactions with the snare/rimsts and crashes! Now I am pretty satisfied about how it sounds overall, just a few little tweaks might push it up to another level - who knows?

Because you can only have 24 VST tracks in Cubase Elements I had to render tracks to audio. I have all the in-between-backups, but can't easily count how many tracks were really used. There are 11 stems in the final project and each one consists of 2-4 layers, so I think ca. 30 instances of Diva is a good guess.

Oh, how I wished I would have to brace myself now! :o :bang: ...but let me start a topic which makes people write quickly enough posts so the forum will bring me to a next page for the sake of my stomach...

Hey, Rob, I'm amazed by your sax, that's awesome! Some most excellent moments in there. Recently you've really come to accept your musical preferences and inclinations, which leads to plenty of authentic tracks. That's really impressive! :tu:

Hi all,

my submission this month:

https://soundcloud.com/carl_saved/carl_ ... zebralette

Zebralette was a lot of fun to work with. It sounds so clean, and has amazingly low CPU usage - no freezing necessary this month! :D What I missed most were a VA style filter, and some way of FM or ring modulation to get anharmonic tones, and distortion. I guess I'd have to go and get a grown-up Zebra to get that :clown:

Looking forward to an epic listening experience :)

Wow, this is impressive! You guys really newly set the boundaries of what is possible using a single U-He synth. I was too lazy again :hihi:

Hi,

so here is my submission this time. I used 35 instances of Tyrell N6 and created every sound by scratch - as always no presets used. I hope i did a more decent job on the mix and mastering this time - i listened to my last submission on different headphones - it was.. it was terrible XD
It´s also the first time i used a reference track to get the sound right - i didn´t - but maybe it´s better this time. Hope you can enjoy it at least a little bit :D
