I composed a pastoral hymn and arranged it for orchestra.
Have both solo violins, violas, cello and flute - and the entire ensemble with choir.

Loved this. Hope more people go down this road - I love all music, but there's a tendency now (in all art, IMHO), that art can't be beautiful - it must challenge, etc. Sometimes, it can just uplift.

Thanks to everyone in this thread. I'm glad you like it. I did put in an enourmous amount of effort into this composition - not only in terms of melodic writing, arrangement, orchestration but also making the strings sound as real as possible.

I think it is really nice and like JoeCat I am so delighted not to have to ask for a melody. It is right there with development and everything.
