can XLN XO do midi input?

I love this plugin, so much more than I expected.

I can't seem to make it accept midi input? Does anyone know if it's possible?

Only 2 patterns meant for contextual auditioning and exporting, though can be chained in two useful ways (AB, AAAB). Cannot be MIDI triggered.

The patterns can be exported as MIDI, drag and drop. So sequence the bottom most kick, drag it out, and you can tell what octave the triggers start in your DAW. It is most likely C1 or C2 depending on DAW, but for reference it is MIDI Note 36.

And yeah, this is the fastest and most fun tool for me for building kits and beats from a massive sample library. They really thought the whole workflow through.

The workflow is great, and it’s ludicrous fun, but it would still be nice to have more pattern triggering options from the keyboard.

One thing that would be great in a future update in tandem with this would be a fills generator, maybe on C or D, then being able to trigger those patterns on the fly.

Love XO but the omission of triggering patterns via keyboard is a huge flaw.

My wishlist
- Midi trigger for the XO sequencer
- Drumfill,roll variants
- Individual sequence length per track.
- Random button by midi for changing a drumsound. (+Select sound while holding a midi note. Useful if you want to eg. select a random sound on the fly while dont want to randomize others just because an external seq like Push2 going.)
- Possibility to set always changing mode in percentage for: Pitch, attack, hold, velocity and tone.
- Possibility to select NOT similar (random)samples also by pc keyboard.
- Maybe rendering midi by Individual tracks

Just discovered this plugin, really amazing.

Wishlist:

- Ability to vary length of individual hits in sequencer
- Hover over sequencer hit should show it's velocity.
- Ability to drag / drop MIDI sequences into XO. Both full sequencer and individual note.
- Better & more envelopes (pitch, filter, distortion) with a release value (see my first point above). There should be a big pop-out window with multi-seg envelope to edit.
- Ability to layer samples. That's what i hoped the "sample combiner" might be but alack, not so.
- Ability to mute / solo individual sequencer tracks. So if you drag an individual pad (say, C1) to your DAW track, you then need to mute that
track in the sequencer.....otherwise you get flams.

Indeed. They should absolutely add the feature. Being able to trigger patterns thru midi is just too useful and XO should have that like other similar and cheaper products do.
