The ability to use 4 samples would be a big improvement.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:09 pmI get their rationale that its a bottomless pit and they don't want Omni to become Kontakt. And it's true, no matter what they offered, people would want more - stacking, key zones, scripting, round robins etc. But it would be awfully nice to have more than one per layer... on the expanded sound source browser there's room for 4 there, that would be better than nothing. Even though everyone would say "WOW FOUR SAMPLES HA HA". I buy their logic that sample import is for sound design work though, but just being able to range 4 samples across the keyboard for that purpose would be better than one.TheSynthScientist wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 3:27 pmYes, the ability to import multiple samples to be used in a single preset would be a vast improvement.
One sample?
Its 2020 not 1994

Actually it's kind of interesting that several of these "rumors" ended up being improvements to Omnisphere:
- Standalone mode was added
- It is now 4 layers
- the arpeggiator did become more advanced
- there was improved integration with HW controllers (hardware synths)
I don't what this one means though:
- having a patchlist mode

I also would like an update to Trilian.
And I don't know how they achieve it - if it was easy they'd have done it already - but I'd like to be able to control Omnisphere with a hardware controller. I produce in the box so don't have a need to spend so much on a hardware synth, but I look enviously at being able to control Omnisphere like that.

Yes it's cool to be able to control it with my Moog Sub Phatty, but then load up other profiles that aren't related to the Moog at all to get those other sounds, like the D-50 or others. It's great to hear (for instance) the famous Soundtrack sound while playing on the Phatty.
