Technically, any idea what’s going on under the hood with this badboy?

This is 100% NOT 100% accurate Just the impressions I got from checking out the plugin through some analyzers. There's much likely more stuff going on under the hood than just what I'm about to write.
MAIN AREA
DESYNC
This is basically the "tape wow" effect section
GLITCH
This is the only section with an actual explanation for each fader, when you click on the eye icon in the bottom-right corner
MAIN AREA
- "QUALTY" seems to mainly acts as a shallow lowpass filter at the end of the signal path, to tame harshness (since the plugin can generate a lot of it).
- "DIST" is more like saturation, not that strong
- "XXXXX", as its said in the plugin itself is intermodulation distortion, much harsher distortion effect
- "NOISE" added noise of the cassette player
- "SELFCARE" (the lever in the top-right corner) sounds like a frequency shifter to me, and as such, it can mess everything up very fast.
- "DCD" sounds like the sample rate reduction option on some bitcrusher plugins, but I don't really know
DESYNC
This is basically the "tape wow" effect section
- "RATE" of the tape wow (full spectrum)
- "DLTA" acts as the wow amount (full spectrum)
- "L-M-H" ... the signal is actually split over 3 frequency bands (crossovers at 300 and 3k Hz), and each band gets a dedicated LFO for the "tape wow" effect. Each of the 3 faders will change the LFO phase so that each frequency band will wobble "independently", creating further chaos and decorrelation.

Pretty crazy plug-in. Awesome graphics
It's a shame it's missing basic functions like volume and/or mix (miss this in their other plugs too). And a sync function for the desync section would be nice.

More BPM please

This company is great. Have their other two plugins but havent checked this one out yet. They’re absolutely hilarious, even with their emails. Straight up comedy. Lold’d at the quality being set to “69” on the picture on homepage for the plugin. They dont take themselves too seriously and poke fun at the absurdness of the plugins industry.DeathByGuitar wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 3:41 pm This company is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in my life. Hats off to them.

They're also receptive to suggestions for improving their plug-ins, so if you have some useful suggestions (like these), you might want to drop them a note.

Yeah, they worked for iZotope then did their own thing once their team with iZotope was dissolved. Here’s a small interview they did.

Decided to look them up on YouTube and Im literally in tears at this video. “32 EASY payments of $7.89.” “1-900-ANAL-OG.” Those two things alone let you see what they think of some aspects of the vst industry. If I like Mishby even the slightest amount when I demo it, I’m going the buy it just to support these dudes.

Although I bought their other plugins, I didn't have any intention of buying this, especially at the higher price point. I don't need another tape plugin.
However, I just found out that the parasite is guaranteed. That's quite a bold promise (and interesting feature). The only other plugin I know of that includes this is the one that doesn't need to be mentioned. Decisions decisions....
P.s. I'm using Bitwig, but I wonder if this plugin is also compatible with electric toothbrushes.

Their website is insane! One of the best sites and designs I've seen. It must have been a ton of work gone into it, and the videos. The plugins are also very cool and on my "to buy list"!

I missed this on the first go, just saw a recommendation for it on another site.
I love the whole aesthetic, the "steal" option (which is going to lead me to pay full price of course and maybe get a t-shirt) and I find the sound of this one pretty great. It's just the thing to put in front of a lush, wrong reverb like Supermassive.
I agree it could use a wet/dry mix, but I'll just stick it in a Chain in Bitwig for that. Likewise, the desync could use a little chaos, but throwing a random LFO at the rate works nicely.

Intrigued... will give these a spin this fine Sunday.
