I'm looking at getting one, they actually sound pretty good (in Youtube demos)... and they're pretty cheap on Ebay. I'd like to be able to program a whole set of (10 or so I guess) separate whole songs for live use... I presume this is a reasonable ask and all models do this?
Have you ever had one? What model did you like?

I had RT-223 which was part of my beach kit, runs on battery and samples from bigfishaudio.
Pretty handy.
From my ad when I sold it:
Sequencer 32000 notes(sync to midi clock too).
511 rythm patterns
127 drumkit
12 bass sounds
Effects EQ/COMP/REVERB
13 x 3 velocity sensitive pads
I don't remember number of songs, used to make beats while on beach.

Cool. It's the 234 I'm most likely going to go for... but they all seem pretty similar.
I reckon they're the best option as far as cheap drum machines go. They actually sound better, and have more features than the Volca ones.
It'll be for live use, I been talking for ages with a friend about starting an indie-pop band, I'll play synths, and control a drum machine, and he'll play guitar, and we'll have a singer. I'm looking at getting away from using a laptop in a live setting.
