I think it sounds really, but I've only just seen it and have never even heard of it. It's only $50 right now.
I've heard several people say of Hotone's hardware "It's cheap and Chinese... but it sounds really good".
I've been using Guitar Rig for years... and it hasn't been upgraded in years, so I'm looking at moving on.
I wonder if this is actually quite good, but suffers due to a bit of snobbery.

... and; yes... I'll try the demo. :hihi:

dont know the vstomp, but i have over the years seen many videos with various hot one/ho tone pedals, and like you said often they look like one stomp and crush but some of them sound pretty damn good.

definitely worth a go if you're looking for multifx and amp sims i think.
look forward to your views :tu:

Amp sims..one man's meat....(missus)...

When I tried it I thought it was ok, not earth shatteringly great. Quite high CPU as well. If you're after another multi-effect one have you tried this (rather great) freebie?

https://tonelib.net/gfx-overview/

A bit patchy in terms of quality, but the good stuff is really good.

I really enjoy the Hotone VStomp. It's not the best Amp Sim I have (I prefer Overloud TH-U, AmpliTube 4 and Blue Cat's Axiom) but I certainly use it more than Line 6 ‎Helix Native or Scuffham S-Gear.

The interesting thing about VStomp is that you can edit the VStompAmp.xml and associated images to use the actual equipment's name and image.

I think I've gone off it already, the main reason being, I was interested in the Roland Jazz Chorus model, and their Jazz Chorus model... doesn't have chorus... in fact there isn't any effects, that'll be a problem.

I think it sounds very good, and the feature set is basic but very useful (except the gate). 3 od pedals, nice clean crunch and high gain amps, you can use IRs, and HP/LP is there.

Don't bother with that tonelib gfx though, that sounds terrible. The only pro people mention next to it is that it's free.

It's not for me, doesn't offer anything new. I gave it a demo.

I've found it pretty good for an amp sim. The only downside I found was the load time. Even after its been loaded onto a track (Studio One), when you go back to it, it takes a few seconds for the GUI to appear. Not a massive issue but just a tad annoying. EZ Drummer does the same thing but I can understand that more given the size and complexity of the plugin. The standouts for me are the VOX and the Fender amps. Not so much for accuracy to the original but for a good solid sound. It also hasn't been updated in ages. It got one good update about a year ago (??) and nothing since. Hotone don't seem very active. The account page feels very unfinished.

It's become commercial, hold on to the old installer.

It looks like it can be run as portable program, backup the installed program location and run it from there, don't know about all presets, the same seems to apply to Riffstation.

That was my thoughts,
ToneLib GFX was one that surprised me.

It used to be free, if you have that version installed, the location can
be backed up, it seems these files can be run as a portable application. The same seems to apply to Riffstation, two really useful apps.

ToneLib at https://freevstplugins.net/tonelib-gfx/
I don't know if it's the free version, might be worth a try.
