Just tried his mono fury ( mono/poly emu ) and modulair ( with moog filter ) exactly the same horrible aliasing in the filters
He obviously took the time to code zdf filters (mono fury ) yet oversees such a fundamental issue
Are these plugins so loved just because they are free ?

edit , just dropped him a mail with the issues in mentioned plugins
Mono/Fury is almost alias free. And why is it such an issue anyway? Couldnt you just increase the samplerate in your DAW if its that 'bad'? < people seem to think 'high samplerate = better music for some reason

It should be cleaner than this. I'd much rather if Björn spent some more CPU to completely minimize aliasing. A high-quality mode, say.

Especially in a synth like Trident, which is well-renowned for its great filters... It's unfortunately not well represented here due to issues like these.
That is one of the reasons why i love his synths and effects. Zero CPU and great sound. A 'high quality' switch for those who want that sure, but they are perfect as they are. For me anyway

Stop being so stubborn , Mono/fury filters alias like crazy ..if you like that ..good for you
All the developer needs to do is some oversampling for the filters
I use 44,1 khz standard which is good enough , the only program I use in (internal ) oversampling mode is reaktor (if needed )
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

Ok. I dont want to start a fight here. Yes they do alias. Tricent more than mono/fury. For me its not a problem. Have a nice day

I have tried a few of his plugins, but they sounded all the same to me, and not exactly spectacular at that.
I think his plugins are feature emulations most of all, they don't seem to focus on authentic sound. The developer probably reuses a lot of code across his plugins.

Lots of aliasing when resonance is maxed out
Good thing, because I never use max resonance...

I guess I'll have to stick to playing notes and making music...
It's not the quality of audio, it's the quality of production that matters.

You can use max resonance to make music for sure. :)

They would sound spectacular with less aliasing. As they are, it's merely good, but not great. :)

The great thing about donation stuff is that if you don't like what you get for free you are entitled to move on as the developer owes you exactly nothing.

Afair that is in fact the main reason why Full Bucket give his stuff away for free anyway (at least he said something similar in an interview). He simply just don't have the time and nerves to deal with all the "suggestions" etc.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Yes, you're completely right!
This mourning about free stuff is unfair imo.
Love it or leave it where it is...

I don't see why people shouldn't mention issues with software just because it's free. Sure, don't feel entitled to anything from the developer. But just because they are giving it away doesn't mean people shouldn't say anything if they don't like the sound or if there's some other aspect of it they don't like.

I quite like the sound of this particular plugin.

Does aliasing matter with low and short notes such as kick drums?
