Some people will dismiss your question by telling you that Inflator is just a waveshaper. What they won't tell you is which waveshaper to use and how to set it to do what Inflator does.

Seems like you can get the same effect with really any waveshapper. StandardCLIP works well and is cheap. Throw it on Soft Clip Pro, turn the Soft-Clip Saturator setting up to 0-30, play with the Clip slider and bring that down to taste.
