I make a variety of genre so that's great adviceForgotten wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 12:29 am Personally I would avoid those that sell themselves as specific to a particular genre as the ones I’ve seen tend to present things as “rules” when they are nothing of the sort. A good, broad music theory course would be much more useful.

The vocal was supposed to be E. My key detector says my song is B.

You wont learn anything about theory if you use key detection software. Do some reading and learn to play an instrument.Spring Goose wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 4:22 pmThis software requires internet connection. It analyses it online somewhere AFAIK.
It would be better if you didn't keep starting new threads about the same issue. One is enough.

In this thread I was told off about being unspecific and deviating from the original subject.

I'm not a troll or somebody doing shilling for a software company. Where are the forum rules/guidelines?

How do I learn? I'm simply asking questions about things I don't understand or i'm not sure about.

Please don't start a new thread every time you have a question about key. I'll consolidate your current threads into one. Please post further questions to that thread.
If you want to change the thread's subject, you can edit the first post in that thread.
