Thanks for the link, still not put off (I liked what I saw and read), so I'll keep my pre-order :)

I just ordered a MadCatz Fender Mustang->
https://www.wired.com/2010/10/mad-catz-guitar/

sold on the brand being MadCatz-
but damn the postage was raking

-so for the first time I'll play MIDI on buttons-
17 frets

I'm sure it will be quite entertaining.

I think so!
It's a cool one to just see if more a controller is what I'm looking for,
without paying a lot.
Possibly I could save for another solution if I love this.
I was looking at the old Yamaha->

I did some more work on my plugin for Roland GK3 last morning-
It takes a little time to trigger OI mechanistically,
but the note is really pretty sure.
To slide around notes, it takes 400-800 samples at 44.1k
- so that is quick enough
but to boolean a trigger it takes nearly 100ms though- damn
I did a little on the graphics and made it more bug-free also.
I'll release again in the next few days

The cool thing about these controllers is that we have so many great sounds/plugs to load,
I must have 75,000 presets or something on my PC heh

Egad.

The problem with the G10 is that all the strings needed to be the same gauge and tuned to the same pitch. Even if you choose to play standard tuning. The "acoustic" sounds from the physical instrument clash heavily with the midi output sounds.

I beg of you do not go down the path of the dark side. All it leads to is misery and pain.

it would not trouble me at all that the pitch of the string is different from the pitch of the MIDI,
on my current GK3-based setup I use all C strings, ie. note 48 when open

I'm keen actually to explore all kinds of solutions to control with the 6 x 24 notes and right-hand for OI gate

I had seen that video ty
It looks like it works OK on that one?

I can deal with the dark side hehe -I have calluses!

I have just got a Midi Pro from Rob O'Reilly, and first impressions are just great ... 5-pin MIDI cable from guitar to synth, and spot-on notes and bugger all latency ...

Just watched a video on the guitar, technology.

Even though I don't agree that cheap amps don't sound good, utter rubbish. More like, you don't need expensive gear to make and enjoy good music.
Is materialism devouring your musical output? :ud:

I saw that too,
none of that series uses it for a controller.
the guy is a better guitarist than me, damn some of those chords looked so difficult
I think I will string it all in 9s maybe
[rubs hands together]

maybe to play a cheap amp and enjoy it, it means putting a preconception aside
I haven't got a wailing amp tone at all though
