I still remember being so excited that there was going to be a Live competitor in Linux and an Open API for controllers. It took a while but 3.0 fully realized modular everything, and I don't know if we have scratched the surface of what we can do. Awesome product!

P.S. Can Bluetooth devices just reconnect and not require a Bitwig restart, Clip Launching features added (ie Do after clip is played launch next scene) and a Chord Track (Like Waveform 11 and not like Studio One) all come in 3.5 Thank you :)

Waveform and Bitwig are my DAWs and UHe is my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

This should be on Scene level, not on Clips level, IMO. Otherwise it would get confusing - what happens if within a scene you have 3 clips each with different "play next scene" settings? Does it wait for the one with longest loop? Or the shortest?

Its come a long, long way in 6 years and it became my favoured music program...my other DAWS are still installed and used, but I just love the way BWS does what it does...creative fun, simplifies complexity, a joy to use.

Didn't it take 6 years for Live to go from 9 to 10!!

I only came in at Live 4 when they added 'Midi' , so to be fait they had a lot too add! I'm just teasing anyway, numbers don't matter and I still have my 9.5 Suite.

Its great to see Bigwig and UHE (2 of the best developers) cooperating again- BWS is the 'main' advert in the U-HE site...I wonder if there is or will ever be more to this- a suite of integrated 'UHE' based rack instruments like AAS did with Live? Imagen if the companies merged! It would break the Internet (or KVR at least!)

To be fair, they went from an audio loop player with VST FX to a full fledged DAW in that time. There were no promises at first. In retrospect Bitwig 6 years ago promised a fully modular system, network collaboration etc.

I'm a new Bitwig user, but it's always good to be fair. Ableton did fantastic up until v8 IMO, Cycling 74 and Max are great, but a UX based user friendly intuitive experience they are not. Since v8 Live hasn't seen much improvement outside of Max, definitely not as many major changes as Bitwig has had.

Guys, I wasn't serious. I know the numbers don't mean anything, pretty much my point. I sometimes forget subtle doesn't go well on forums.

I still miss Drum Rack though. I barely used Live on my transition into Bitwig from Logic but Drum Rack left a lasting impression. It's the built in routing, it's great. Bitwig's Drum Machine can get there with some inconvenient workarounds though. Except the MIDI follow thing, can't do that. (maybe with a script? Meh, I can't do it, that's for sure) That's a great feature in Drum Rack too.

I would not like Bitwig to hold back in adding some feature just because U-he has it or any other company, so far so good though, bring it! :tu: 8)

I finally upgraded to version 3 with the discount offer. So I'm checking out the grid. I like how there's help info all around the program. Feels much nicer then 2.3.5. Runs great on my 11 years old AMD Linux Lite pc. Though, I do get one xrun, every time I open my old files. No xruns when playing or recording.

I got into Bitwig at version 1.1. In 2014 I bought Max for Live to go with my Live 9 standard and found Max for Live to be too complicated, not enough benefit. So Ableton was nice enough to refund me and I decided to give Bitwig a try. It was a wise decision. I've moved from Pro Tools to Live, and now Live to Bitwig. I have gotten a Digitakt which has distracted me from Bitwig for a while. I like to have choices.
