Padshop 2 - what am i doing wrong? (modulation)

hi, i had gotten Absolute 4 for just 50 bucks and i thought this is a great value and wanted to test padshop 2 but i just cannot get something done i have no problems in Avenger, falcon etc. maybe i just didnt use granular synths too long.

i want to have a lfo move the posittion in a tight spot to create drones of different spots of a sample so you can experiment the speed and hear if it works or not. but here my settings dont work at all like i want.


 
does someone see the error?
i also never understood why you should use in the modulation matrix the OFFSET?
