I recently heard a song called "Elements and Things" by Tony Joe White.
This is nothing like that song.
I was going to describe this track as Trance, 1960's style. So I did.
Posted without my usual checks and listening, so may be too bright, unbalanced, &tc, but it is intentionally not supposed to be pristine.

"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

As for the non sequitur...
A few months ago I discovered a band called Blues Pills, who've been around for a few years. They do a cover of "Elements and Things", which I think is truly awesome. If you listen to the intro, you may just hear where I've tried to rip off the bass line (starts 00:18).

The first few minutes reminds me of War Of The Worlds. (Jeff Wayne's musical War Of The Worlds)

It gets bombastic towards 5 minutes.

I can't see what it has to do with trance.

Bombast is what I's do. :)
It's trance because there is a four-on-the-floor kick, and some filter sweeps on the synth. lmagine trance if it was played in the 60's. :tu:

Ok i'll take your word for it! :)

It's got break downs and drops, too! :D

I'm glad you enjoy it!

The cliche of a trance breakdown would have a trance drumroll.
