I have an issue with the way that the snap to zero works with phase alignment.

It snaps to a zero crossing but it stretches the waveform rather than shifting it.

with snap enabled moving the phase knob should shift the waveform from side to side without stretching it while realigning the phase, and freq should stretch the wave to the next zero crossing.

The way that phase works is just not quite right to me.

there is a new version, mainly bug fixes. in my preferences i have other paths to all (presets, wavetables, etc.) but the installer installs all it's factory stuff, still in another place, the default.
this is not the way, me thinks.

and still the icon for the standalone version...

but still, great synth.

Yes, the install paths should be remembered for the update. I will look into that. And the icon will be fixed asap. You are on Windows right?

yes windows (10, 1909). thanks! i can do it manually, but most installers check the paths. it is more easy. and when you forget it...
the icon is a small thing, but it is ugly (it is the default icon of win.., of course you can choose your own), and it states the older the version.

small things, but for better experience. thanks!

Not sure whether I am just overlooking something, but, when modifying a partial or its phase, is there any feedback as to which partial (e.g. 167th) is being edited (and/or the value result of the edit)?

Post

Good point. In the next version I will include this information in the context menu of the frequency domain editor along with an option to manually enter magnitude and phase of a bin.

So will this be a RMB (right mouse button) display (RMB click on partial)?

In any case, sounds good (and needed, easy to lose track after scrolling to higher partials)!

Thanks!

it now resets the preset folders to default, when installing. so i can refer them to the locations on my the drive where they normally are. but after the next update will it remember the preset folders.

EDIT: this wrong, i was on my laptop. i didn't make other paths to presets etc. on my laptop....
confusing two "studio's"..... (one is the real, i.e. with all the controllers, screens, monitor, etc..)

and perhaps, can you make subfolders, didn't try it, to find my own presets quickly, i use my artist's name now, works. didn't try it yet, shall try it.

but great update, and still love the program!

It's there.

Many thanks for adding!

I found a bug in single cycle wave export,

I bought vaporizer predominately for the wavetable editor/creator to use for my reaktor projects, this issue is a big one to me.

I dropped this waveform into vaporizer...
Oddsaws 1 Original.png
I made a small edit simply smoothing out a section of the wave and then exported a new file.

It came out like this...
Oddsaws 1 Export.png
you can see that there is a glitch at the end of the wave, I opened it in audacity and it's exactly 4 samples of dead space at the end that shouldn't be there.

please get this fixed, thanks.

Thanks for detecting this and bringing it up. The issue will be fixed with the upcoming version 3.0.3.
