Nectar 3, no low latency mode?

Is there no way to use Nectar 3 in low latency mode for recording vocals with the pitch correction tool? I wanted to use it to track vocals during recording like I do with Wavestune Realtime (I guess the key word here is realtime). That really sucks if that's not possible, the latency is unusable for recording. I saw online Nectar 2 had low latency mode, why wouldn't 3?

Also, I tried switching my DAW's settings to low latency (Logic Pro X). It just shut the effect completely off, so unfortunately that doesn't look like a solution.

Any advice or insight would be much appreciated!

I am getting the message from the lack of responses people here probably hate Autotune haha. Seems any questions I ask about it get ignored.

So let me rephrase my question. Is there any way to fix the latency so I can use Nectar 3 when tracking vocals during live recording? Or did they really completely eliminate this feature after 2? Thanks in advance.

In my experience, Logic Plugin Delay Compensation is broken for high-latency plugins (I've had this issue with iZotope RX plugins, Logic just couldn't compensate correctly and everything was out of time).

You can adjust Logic's threshold for "Low Latency" somewhere in Preferences. Be aware that "Low Latency" mode just disables plugins higher than the threshold, rather than magically reducing the latency on all plugins.

Have you contacted iZotope? They would likely know best.

Interesting. I’ll have to see if messing with low latency in preferences helps at all. Right now the latency makes it unusable for what I’m trying to do. Otherwise yeah next step may be needing to ask Izotope or accepting this is a plugin I can only use after recording. Thanks for the lead at least!

Nectar 3's tuning is pretty high latency, I tried tracking with it once to feel it out and it was a disaster. I haven't heard of any way to improve the latency.
I abandoned it in favor of Waves Tune Real Time, which is nicely low latency and the tuning algorithm is also better. I even use it for mixing when the performance is solid and I just want to add a touch of treatment.

Thanks for the input! That’s such a bummer I can’t track with it, but it still has a lot I can do after with it. I own Waves Tune RT as well and it gets the job done. I will say though I have used Antares in the studio and I feel it maybe gives more the desired effect and texture I am looking for. May have to invest in Autotune Artist down the road. It’s too bad I can’t use Nectar as an alternative, part of the reason I wanted it.

I contacted with izotope they reply me so fast! But unfortunately they told me that Nectar 3 algorithms are complex and only suitable for mix production not to performance as Nectar 2. I think is a great mistake not implement a streaming mode perhaps with a reduced quality or something like this almost in some of the modules. I love use the harmonies subtle and EQ stuff in Nectar 2 why not doing too in 3 version? But updates came and simply I think they are not considering it

Ohh had to remove track by track, plugin by plugin until I finally found it was Nectar 3 which caused this latency when recording vocals. Oh dear Izotope, please don't let any more users step in this trap!

Had the same issue with Nectar 3 and saw that Ableton receives a reported latency from the plugin of 194ms. Not suitable for realtime use
BUT I found, that the iZotope VocalSynth 2 does pitch correction in realtime with 0 latency with the Polyvox module. If you own it, try it. Otherwise the Waves Realtime plugin is the choice I think.

Many many pitch tools for mixing are not designed for realtime use. Waves RT, MAutopitch, Antares (whatever they call it now), and then a bunch of devices built in MAX/ Reaktor/ whichever DSP platform are all capable of retuning to scales withing a couple of cycles of input audio. If you have Waves RT just stick with it. It's as good as anything else out there and better than many.
