I had issues with the WS, couldn't edit the patch etc.. did a tech support ticket, heard back from support, they said (last night) the guys were looking at it, late this morning I got an email saying the guys in Japan had released new betas which, for me, work with crashing.
I've never seen a company this big respond so quickly to bug reports! It seems they haven't taken their foot of the soft-synth market as much as previously suspected. Eh, or maybe this is a one-off..
Nevertheless I guess they'll put the updates in the Software Pass thing later.

What is it with Korg? Didn't know about these V2 updates till I read this thread. I then had to read the whole thread to figure out how to update: does have to be so convoluted Korg? Jeez. I eventually found my original emails with my original serial numbers, so what was all that migration nonsense I did a year or two ago about? I had to find the Korg Software Pass from a link in this thread as I couldn't even see this option (the upgrade is listed as $199 or something). Honestly a confusing mess.
Anyway enjoying the re-sizable UIs after pretty much giving up on any updates, so kudos to them for that side of things.

Hello, I noticed that the Wavestation plugin crashes when editing. It mostly happens when you swap the waveforms. I was able to verify the crash in the Standalone version, Reaper, FL Studio and Studio One. If the Wavestation in StudioOne crashes, the DAW also crashes.

Add that to the previous Mac report = not an OS-based problem, apparently. I'm assuming you're not on the Mac version of FL.PietW. wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 1:43 pm Hello, I noticed that the Wavestation plugin crashes when editing. This is a long awaited, well worth the wait, update.
I am not a fan of the Software Pass or how the updates work...but they are there. And the time it took to install is nothing compared to value of getting to work with these instruments again in a fashion that does well with my...dare I say the "w" word...workflow.
Good job Korg.

You don't have to use the Software Pass. I downloaded the updated installers from my Korg account, installed them and that was it. I already had Collection v1 installed, and wasn't even asked for a password when upgrading. I did have to enter the code I got when I upgraded to Collection v1 in order for the v2 installers to become available from my account.

Exactly. Came here to mention this after coming to know about it via browsing my Korg account.thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:20 pm You don't have to use the Software Pass. But I guess Korg Software Pass will inform us about any future updates?

Well if it was anything like my experience, the updates didn't even appear in my account - again what was the migration all about? It wasn't until I entered my old serials into Software Pass (the link to which I found in this thread, not on the website) that they now appear in my account. I still have two older orders 'pending' which may have been the migration, but the v2.0 did not appear in my account. It's a clusterf**k.thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:20 pm You don't have to use the Software Pass. I downloaded the updated installers from my Korg account, installed them and that was it.

I'm disappointed in you KVR. Things this big deserve a new thread!
Korg, nice job! Except for the upgrade process.
Everyone looking to upgrade: download the Korg Software Pass, find the original Product Codes from your email, register them, then download the updates. Can't repeat it enough since Korg isn't clear.

Well I'm sorry I don't meet you intelligence requirements, seems I'm the only one who had problems with Korg's site. I certainly would have entered a code if I could have found anywhere to actually enter the code.thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:48 pm

Again, what was the purpose of the migration nonsense? Those codes I entered did nothing, I had to find the original old ones. How come I am able to download these new versions but my orders still stand as pending from 2017? I'm the thicko here, help me out.

I will second this, the whole thing was transparent as a brick wall.Mr Arkadin wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 1:32 pm What is it with Korg? Didn't know about these V2 updates till I read this thread. I then had to read the whole thread to figure out how to update: does have to be so convoluted Korg? Jeez.

WTF? What is wrong with some people in this thread? My post was meant to inform you of the alternative way to get the installers. What are you offended about?Mr Arkadin wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:35 pmWell I'm sorry I don't meet you intelligence requirements, thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:48 pm
