Not sure what you mean by “HiDPI” but maybe have a look at Poseidon by Virsyn. I always thought its resynthesis engine sounded better than Alchemy’s.

Yes indeed another good contender, but that's exactly what I meant by HiDPI.zerocrossing wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 5:31 pm Not sure what you mean by “HiDPI” but maybe have a look at Poseidon by Virsyn. I always thought its resynthesis engine sounded better than Alchemy’s.
The eyes get worse, so I try to avoid pixelated GUIs.
I'm also not sure if Virsyn still cares about its product line due to their pretty outdated website (last news from 2017).
Funny coincidence, I used to work with Virsyn's Matrix Vocoder in my Cubase days and still think its sound wise the closest to Vocodex.

Serum does have a demo. But I think you were thinking about Falcon.herewardcarrington wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 5:23 pm The missing demo of Serum is a pity, even though I have been using UVI libraries for many years.

Are images musically interesting?

It purely depends on the picture as well as the synth.

You don't actually have to start with images. Most image synthesisers, Harmor included, support converting your sound into an image. Photoshop (or your preferred editor/image processor) becomes a sound processing suite.
