Hello, im looking to purchase my first piano plugin and i have these 2 options
*Addictive keys ( all 4 for 40$)
*Truepianos for 80$

I make progressive trance and progressive house only. You must've heard the typical dance piano esque sounds in trance songs with lot of reverb n delay and thats the kind of piano ill be using the most aside from the normal uses. Which of these 2 is better for that purpose and which one i should choose.

Sound examples:

Best example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSIQj3463J8&t=4m3s (4:03)

I understand these examples maybe varied from eachother but they are kind of similar i feel,

Which would i choose for this purpose???

Seem like dedicated piano plugin could be overkill for your needs, most EDM folks use Nexus for pianos, there's also Lethal which will get you covered with all those different tones too, you can rent-to-own it via LANDR for 10 bucks a month (20 months), you can try it free for 3 days, so download and see does that selection of pianos do it for you, there's even dedicated piano expansion you get for free, among numerous ones.

Value is in the eye of the beholder, only you can make that call based on your own needs, my partner loves Nexus and he sketches his tracks using only Nexus and guess if you asked him Nexus is best plugin in the world, I just like few of factory sounds and to me it's nothing special, I tried Lethal and factory sound seems more useful to me, there's tons of free expansions so you really get your money worth there, expansions for Nexus are little pricey, but maybe you will find them straight to the point and worth, different strokes for different folks, you can't go wrong with having both.

Also there's great free piano library called "Maestro Concert Grand v2" and you can obtain it here
https://www.linuxsampler.org/instruments.html

it's in gig file extension, so you will need player that can open it, on same page you can find free LinuxSampler that will do that just fine
https://download.linuxsampler.org/packa ... snapshots/

it will install plugin dll file by default in ProgramFiles/Steinberg/VSTPlugins, so go there after installation and move it to your VST plugin folder of choice.

How about the free Spitfire Labs? It's free, so if it works for you, then you could save money for Serum or some other synth you want to get.

Had another listen to your examples, I'm almost positive that majority of them are Nexus factory ones, Dash Berlin is Nexus grand piano one, Armin one is called crushed or something like that and Demi Lovato is dance one or something like that.

You can get really nice piano for EDM adding OTT by Xfer on that Maestro Grand one I left you, on OTT bring depth to 20-30%, bring Upwd/Dnwd button to 0 than work your way up by your taste, after that control general tone with Low/Mid/Hi bands marked respectively as L/M/H

Thank you for that, I'll surely do that for now. Rather than looking for alternatives, I'll start saving up for nexus and I'll get in a few months.

PS, this is out of context and you may know this but Dave Aude, the person who made the demi lovato track remix has 135 billboard no.1 tracks, the most by anyone ever, and a Grammy.

Be sure to check out Lethal too, there's some really usable sounds, especially those M1 alike EDM plucky pianos, tons of piano sounds in there, opposed to Nexus which got really few of them and library is old as thing itself, it's same pianos from Nexus V1, I don't think one replaces other, they both are great value.
