Has anyone found a source for one of these in the UK?

http://www.thomann.de has the "Critter & Guitari TRS-MIDI Cable" or twice the price the "Teenage Engineering Midi Cable Kit". Both have a female DIN plug, so it's an adapter to fit on a standard MIDI cable.

But in spirit with the device I'd take the DIY route. Only requires a 5-pole DIN plug and the cable from a broken headphone. And a soldering iron ofcourse ;-)

From the google cache of https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/c ... _ing_work/
If you want to make your own custom TRS to MIDI adapter cable, the pinout is as follows:
MIDI DIN Pin 5 - Tip (current sink)
MIDI DIN Pin 4 - Ring (current source)
MIDI DIN Pin 2 - Sleeve (Shield/ground)
See this article for diagrams and more details:

Amazon?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MIDI-Adapter-B ... B074XGJRQK

Though I'd kind of expect most mail-order music stores to have them too. Yeah, Juno does this, Im pretty sure its Type A, but check again via https://minimidi.world/

Thanks. Don't really want to buy a soldering iron just for this. The delivery time from Amazon is long, looks like its coming from China. Just surprised I cant find a UK store Stocking them.

I found one on ebay - but can't get the NTS-1 to respond over it. I checked the pinout with a multimeter and it seems correct.

+1 for Thomann. Usually works like a charm, they deliver decently fast and their support has been great.
Take care
