Hello,

I've updated my hardware from ... to

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k | AMD Ryzen 3950x
MB: Asus Z97 Deluxe | Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master
RAM: 4x8GB Avexir DDR3-2666 CL11 | 2x32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 CL16
GPU: Palit GTX 980Ti JetStream
SSD1: Corsair Force MP600 1TB
SSD2: Samsung 850 500GB
SSD3: Samsung 860 1TB
SSD4: Samsung 860 1TB
HDD1: Seagate 1TB
PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 10 700W
Audio-Interface: RME Fireface 400 | RME Fireface UC

...fresh install of original Win10 Pro on the new PCIe 4.0 SSD, installed all updates for Win10 and also installed the latest nvidia and RME drivers.

With my old hardware BWS started in aroung 3-5 seconds, now it takes...

... 1:30 minutes :o :x

As my system was installed from scratch with all drivers installed via Win10 updater automatically except RME and Nvidias, I really don't know what is causing that issue.

Any advice on that?

How are load times with other applications?

Post

On my system, it takes 7 seconds:
My CPU: Ryzen 3900x, 16 GB DDR4 Ram, Samsung SSD Evo, Audiointerface: UR44

Whats the read write speed of your hardrive where bitwig is installed? Maybe you should check every component of your system like RAM (memcheck), CPU (performance tests with cinebench to compare). You should also check DPC with LatencyMon.

Maybe a virusscanner over active?

I assume you don't actually mean Bitwig Studio version 1

Have you installed the AMD chipset drivers and AMD Ryzen Master? What frequency and latency is your RAM showing in the BIOS? Have memory settings been set manually or did you use an XMP profile? Is your BIOS the latest version?

I had the same kind of problem. Turned out to be Malwarebytes Anti Malware in my case.

Hi and thanks for the answers!

I found the issue: Win10 did not install the latest chipset drivers. I've manually downloaded and installed them.
Now the starup time is ok with around 4 secs.

Brilliant. Glad that sorted it for you!

4 seconds is bloody fast :tu:
