If my math is correct, it looks like it is roughly 3-10 days from release (based on the quote below). ;)

When?
rsp
Getting very close :) Beta testers have been incredible, responding to new versions lighting fast so we could make rapid progress and pretty much finish the plugin. Some work is left to do on the factory library and manual. Hard to estimate how long this will take exactly, but roughly 1-2 weeks should be realistic.

Any idea of price? More sound demos? How about another teaser video?

I don't know that I'd go that far but I certainly use RePro 1 a lot more than RePro 5.
Just FYI, as verified by Urs of U-He, Repro-5 is literally a polyphonic version of the Repro-1 code. The default filter modules have some differences between the two, but via the Tweaks page you can swap them out (and thereby use the Repro-1 filter in Repro-5, and vice versa). So liking the 'sound' of one better than the other really makes zero sense, as they are quite literally the same thing.

One difference, at least on my system though is I can run Repro-1 in HQ mode but can't Repro-5, in any real project anyway..

It is possible if you cut the number of voices and the envelope release times.

But why would I use it that way?

Plus I think they are some differences.

Same basic components but it's not just a polyphonic RePro-1. The modulation ranges are much more extreme on RePro-1 for example. The OSC B PW as pointed out above is another. The filters are the same basic chip but the gain staging going into them is different from what I recall.

You can try to create RePro-1 patches in RePro-5, they'll even open, but the differences are greater than just polyphony.

As with any synth with serious oversampling, you are limited by your available CPU power and have to work within those limitations, use a less CPU hungry alternative, use a sample, or freeze or print the track.

Yes, but I don't use it in HQ mode so I can work how I want to work with it. I can use Repro-1 in HQ mode and but can't Repro-5. I am just making the point that is probably why I made note of the Repro-1 sound, because in my work flow I can use it in HQ mode.

Maybe it is because they probably needs some parameter tweaking, but copy your non Arp Repro-1 files into your Repro-5 directory and play them with Repro-5. They do sound different.
The appropriate parameter values are the same numerically, but to my ear the Repro-1 sounds snappier.
Anyway enough of the hijack.

Perhaps because you never play more than one note at a time?

Post

I never play anything, I have a computer to take care of that for me. It's kind of the point of working ITB. If I want to play an instrument, I have hardware synths and all but one of those is polyphonic.

You just explained why it makes sense - different default filters. I've looked at the tweaks pages in both VSTi but have not really been able to make any sense of them, so I leave them alone. Every and now and then I think maybe I should RTFM but then I think that I have better things to do and there are plenty of synths I can use that I don't have to RTFM to get the most from, so I go and use one of those instead.
