Upcoming Synapse OB-Xa: Obsession

I don't think I have ever used their hardware.
I was speaking about software only. And indeed their Sunset Reverb and Tape may be next level, never tried either, but the over top marketing and mediocre products for years finally got to me.

I quite liked their earlier CSR Reverbs, but then again those were done by the maestro, Martin Lind now from Relab.

IK has some really great products: Modo Bass, Tape Machines, Leslie. That's stuff's great. Some of the other T-Racks effects are pretty good too (though it's a mixed bag). But SampleTank and Syntronik are things I have zero interest in personally.

Their marketing is their marketing. You get a good intro deal, then you'll get an even better deal if you're willing to wait a while. No more offensive than any other company that does frequent sales IMO.

I'm surprised AnX's post about wanting to stab another tester rather than hearing sh*t presets was allowed to stay up. Maybe they're best pals and the joke was just lost in translation to text, but holy crap. If calling people names, dissing their work, and musing about stabbing them doesn't come with a ban or post deletion, then what does? And I dunno...I don't think I've ever seen or heard Ingo do anything that warrants anything like that. I frankly like his pad and brass presets. Like, I know Bones mostly gets a pass just by the nature of being Bones and having been here a million years being his same cantankerous self (offset by opinions while often terrible, you can't argue aren't well thought out and defended), but even he hasn't talked about stabbing anyone from what I can recall.

Yeah that was over the top (they must not have noticed). But that's up to the mods and about an individual, shouldn't affect a thread.

Yeah, I agree. I'd personally prefer post deletions, temporary suspensions, and bans were doled out more regularly and threads remained opened and cleaned up where necessary.
