Vortifex wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 11:44 amThis is usually the language of people who lack social skills, and of bullies who won't accept the consequences of their actions. They will criticise objection to their behaviour, as if they are blameless and everyone else is at fault. Low emotional intelligence types who complain about 'snowflakes' and who tell depressed people to cheer up. It's good to try and not be that kind of person.
It is hardly black and white. I probably call 10 people a day an idiot to their face and nobody takes offence, ever, but if you even suggest something like that here, everyone acts like you kicked their dog. That's because I live in the world of adults, people capable of taking criticism on board, learning from it and growing, while around here people act like the kinds of children who cry when they drop their ice cream onto the footpath. They seem to have no coping skills whatsoever, like this is some kind of sheltered workshop. That, quite rightly, is their problem and the Mods should not turn it back on someone who is not acting unreasonably, simply because someone is upset.
Remember recently when it was asked why every thread becomes the Bones show? Your response was something like they're jealous of my #1 record (quick poll: who knows anything about that, follow up: who actually cares). A big part of the actual reason is how frequently you call people you disagree with idiots. If you could manage to express your otherwise well thought out opinions, without calling other people names in the process (calling each other names is what children are supposed to be taught not to do), then you wouldn't get the attention you do. Because once the flaming starts, a back and forth ensues, then the whole thread becomes about the flaming, with people piling on on both sides. Then it's the Bones show. Or the whoever vs. whoever else show. And yes, I realize this post is an example of that. Not lost on me. Anyway, it's a form of trolling. It's like you're looking to force a reaction out of people, trying to start a flame war, while claiming "hey, I'm not off topic, I'm talking about the product so and so is just an idiot." Now, if the goal is to get attention by being controversial and sounding like a tough guy, then whatever. No one wants their forum full of that either. It's best for everyone when those posts are deleted and not engaged with. If everyone was allowed to come here and behave that way, this place would be awful.

And those people you call idiots to their face 10 times a day? Maybe they know you. My friends can call me an idiot. But we've never met. Some rando on a forum calling a bunch of people he never met idiots deserves to have his posts deleted because that type of trolling turns every thread into a sh*tshow. Whether it's you, AnX/Krim, me, or anyone else. If you got a problem with adhering to the rules: go start up your own forum with different ones.

One of the coolest reactions I've seen here. :tu:
By the way, I really like your Monark presets.

I want to live in your twisted world. :ud: Maybe one lives better with going solely by feelings and emotions rather than by rational thinking.
You'll just have to live with it. I will. Happily :tu:
Yes, I'm sure about that. ;)
So what you bugging me for, then?
You mean that because you can happily live with the way you act means that you won't get called out for your comments by someone else? Hmm... I'm afraid that doesn't work in the real world. Only in your bubble, friend.

Anyway, back to Obsession, and away from uninteresting users.

I for one am fully in the AT camp.

FWIW...
nothing, don't waste your breath

The patches of Kevin heavily rely on using Velocity and the MW
but less than 5% AT

very strange for a pro, Rich did notice after it was pointed out tho

Some of you people are too invested in something you have next to no control over. :dog:
I'm quite okay with you calling out my comments, even if it's bs, mainly because I don't give an iota of a f*ck about your opinions - A lesson quite a lot of you could learn from. I haven't even attacked your replies or critiqued your personality. I really just don't care enough to do it. :tu:

All it is is forum personality clashes and settling of old scores. No biggie.

If that was all Richard asked for it would have been better to update your patches instead of complaining about a highly respected sound designer like Kevin that already did TONS of patches for Synapse Audio plugins. I am sure that using AT is not the only reason why Richard likes certain patches.

FWIW as using AT is quite a standard feature for me it was unlikely that this could have been an issue with my patches.

You're probably not allowed to say, but... will OBsession ship with a selection of effects? Or will it be a bare-bones affair like Legend (which does have a reverb and delay, IIRC)?

3 onboard fx

FX always ruin a synth emulation because it makes patch designers lazy.

Do you buy a OB-Xa emulation to sound like an OB-Xa, or to sound like every synth under the sun? I never understand why a virtual synth emulation is expected to do everything. I don't look to a Minimoog emulation for pads and do not want to see a factory bank cluttered with them. There are plenty other synths for those sounds.

Putting FX into permanent bypass is the first thing I do, but then the patches were not designed that way.
