Famous to you. I've never heard of these nor do I have a desire to:
No, not famous to me. I don't decide what makes things famous or well known. That's not my call. Or yours really. That's not how fame or notoriety work. There's a whole lot of other people on planet Earth that collectively get a say in that. Just because you or I don't know about something doesn't mean that it's not famous. For example, I couldn't name a single Billy Eilish song but I recognize she's famous despite my ignorance on her music.

So you don't know any of the wildly famous Minimoog sounds...big whoop....doesn't mean they don't exist. They just may not be relevant to you and that's fine. Why your arguing about whether or not they're actually famous is beyond me. You might be able to point to famous synth sounds in your particular genre of music that you'd consider iconic for that genre or for a piece of gear that i have no idea about. Just because I haven't heard of it doesn't make it not famous. Doesn't make it not iconic. I have no idea what the "Lately Bass" sound is all about or the song, for example, but I recognize it's a thing because people who work in that genre recognize it as an iconic sound and I've seen it discussed in places like this. See? My ignorance, or lack of desire to know about it, doesn't make it any less iconic. I've never listened to a song with a "hoover" patch best I can recall, but I recognize if you're doing certain Roland synths, people are going to want that "famous" patch. Why? Because one person doesn't decide what's famous.

Parliament Funkadelic, Bootsie Collins, Dr. Dre, Madonna, Rick Wakeman, Gary Numan Herbie Hancock, they're responsible from some pretty famous Minimoog sounds whether you're familiar with them or not. They're associated with the instrument.

Because I don't care about what other people think is "famous".....never have.

But hey if you want other people to tell you what to think then by all means knock yourself out. :tu:

Anyway...so do we know if the OBsession release is really tomorrow or is that an unconfirmed rumor?

It's not yet confirmed when the whining will start.

It already started back when the first screenshot was revealed. Imagine when the full synth is relased.

Presumably it'll have a smoother, hair free, surface?

they didn't have AT assignments, apparently that's essential (tho nobody seems to have told KS etc, so called professionals)
nothing to do with me being "pissed off" at all, I'm very happy thanks
Yeah, I have to admit I am also a bit annoyed, in that the handful of my patches that he's used are from the first batch I made, using the very first beta, so they don't incorporate any of the newer features and are, as a result, extremely basic. As new features appeared, I incorporated them and sent several new batches of vastly better patches but none of those have been used. I would actually be happier if mine were also removed but I figured Rich was getting hassled enough by others so I let it slide. I have asked him if he can change the attribution on them, though, as I don't think they are representative of our brand.

It's kind of weird because some of the beta-testers have made some amazing patches but almost none of them have been included in the factory bank. Honestly, if I was judging OBSession from the factory presets, I probably wouldn't buy it. It's only that I have played around with it from the start that I know it can do so much more than what the presets show. So keep that in mind when you finally get to demo it - the presets seem to have been chosen to show off only one aspect of this synth. Dave and I will have to put out our own banks to show how versatile it really is. (eXode should too, some of his patches are incredible!)

you're not the only person (not including me) who noticed a strange method of preset choice
