On a more serious note, it's all about keeping it minimal, using dark pads, reverby pianos, subtle percussion sprinkled everywhere and synths with movement. Gotta have those pulses in there.
Anyone knows any good plugins or equipment for Crime Investigation Music?

My favourite thing about this thread is that the OP hasn't returned since that first post.
Has he been kidnapped or murdered and if so where do I go to get suitable instruments to soundtrack any dramatic reconstruction?

I would like to see a definition of "crime investigation music". Any examples?
With the thread initiator gone, I'm left in mystery.

Thanks, Armadillo and Anx, for the examples! Quite a variety. Sounds like it ranges anywhere from '60s funk to more contemporary slick tension-builders, whatever goes with action figures in cars....

Right-o! And CSI in Vegas had The Who's "Who Are You?" So this field seems really wide open. What isn't "Crime Investigation Music"? I guess that's the point of some of the antics on this thread.
