Bass VI strangle circuit

I did not know, until I googled it.
This is a Bass VI:

It has a strangle switch.
It switches a very simple passive hi-pass filter (one component: a 30uf capacitor) which cuts off some bass. It makes it sound nasal, but not by switching pickups out-of-phase (or maybe it does)
Look it up on youtube to hear the effect. Can also be done (and better) with eq on your amp or in your daw or effects pedal board. Or just read more:
