I've recently got an Avantone Mixcube, and now i can hear detail which i couldn't before. I'm still relatively new to mixing. This is my best/favourite "song"/track ATM.

What can you tell me about my mix, or about the song/track? Moving on from last time i was told "all your "songs" are boring" and "i could train a 5 year old to make better song than you".

Here's another. This one is a dirty sexy DISCO-HOUSE track.

Here's another. I don't know which genre i'd call it. I suppose i'll have to call it progressive house because i don't know where else it fits in.

Say something about my song/s (track/s), if you'd like.

Spring Goose,
Thank you for the reviews! Now listening to "Funky Deep G": the audio sounds a bit muffled. The vocals definitely add something. Instrumentally it is pretty repetitive. I guess it depends on your intentions. If you hope to have catchy melodies that stick in your brain, or that you want to hum along with, then I say it could use some work. If you want something to zone out on, like trance, then it succeeds. Now listening to "D# Disco": this has much better audio quality! I like the synths at around 1:05. The vocal clips definitely add to the song. The rising synth is nice. This is definitely danceable, and has much better melodies in my opinion. A bit repetitive; I would have made it shorter; though if you kept dancing on the dance floor, I'm OK with that. Overall, I like this much better than "Funky Deep G". Nice. Now listening to "Dream Vocal G": better audio quality than "Funky Deep G". The first 2 minutes, and other parts are rather repetitive for me. The vocals definitely add to the song. I like "D# Disco" by far the best of the 3.

Hey whats up OP!
I just read your mixing thread where some of the KvR elite went at you a couple months ago.
Nice to see you brush that bullshit off and move forward!
Some of those jerks were really in your face about 'groove'...

some elite jerks in here just want to help others improve.
and thats not going to happen if they dont voice their opinions
to others what needs improvement in their music.
that being said, i can hear improvement here, especially in composition
bringing new elements in and out, cutting the over-repetition
that spawns boredom. the mix sounded good as well.

good job, SG.

They could say which songs they've listened to and the comments/criticism per song.
Their generalisations for example "all your songs are not groovy" are not very helpful, i have to take it with a pinch of salt and GUESS which song/s they are talking about! (they haven't listened to all my songs). For example: i wouldn't expect that an ambient song is groovy! ;)

Funky Deep G is awesome.
D# Disco have ace bass, really nice urge, not digging melodic parts, but it's down to personal taste at this point.
Dream Vocal G could really work great on the floor.

Have a good one.

i tend to prefer posting one song per post. it simplifies things
and i always know what song people are commenting about in
the post
also, i think people dont really like to give one member a whole
lot of time listening to multiple tracks listed in one post.
doing that comes across as kind of needy for attention, IMHO.
there is no one song per post rule OC, so carry on as you wish
