Just tried to upload a video to YouTube, only to discover that I have been effectively locked out of my account. Tried to log in, got a "This device is not recognised" message, "please enter your recovery email blah blah blah". I had to delete that email address because I was being bombarded with spam (dozens of emails everyday for weeks.) Forgot it was a recovery for my Googly. Lesson learned.
So...
Here it is on BitChute. Wear sunglasses!

2020 November 8th.
Nearly finished. Just some touching up to do.
3 half-ideas endlessly strung out. Not for the faint of heart. Or teeny boppers.

I take the credit for all that is good with this track.
If there is something you don't like, it was somebody else's fault.
At least 23 minutes too long. Minimal mixing, just shoved into a Waves LL3.
Enjoy?

1968 Part 10 Part 2: Spaced Out. A work-in-progress. This took me about five hours today. Seriously. Just a vamp in Emin at the moment.

Difficult to describe where this track is coming from. It's supposed to be a drug-addled jam by a hippie rock band. But since I'm a one-man-band, the music is entirely itb, with not a plectrum in sight, well, see for yourselves. Settle down with your drug of choice (coffee, in my case), switch to full screen and watch the light show.

GrooveAgent Smythe on the drums;
HALion Smythe on mellotron and organ;
Shreddage Smythe on rhythm guitar.

The original Pt 10 was inspired by these 2 tracks from the wonderful 1971 album Dance Of The Lemmings by Amon Düül II. This version is much closer in spirit.

Like the guitar riff. Drums feel underwhelming - feel like they need some Moon-fills here and there and a lot less quantisation. Looser drums will make things groove more.
Find me on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp etc.

Thanks for posting. :tu:
Yes, drums are virtually a 1 bar loop. I've not had a lot inspiration lately, so I may not even get close to finishing this. If I do, everything will be busier!

Definitely getting the AD II (or maybe even NEU!) vibes from this one. I think it could certainly be extended to at least 5 minutes.

Good work :)

Sounds like a 'drug-addled jam by a hippie rock band' 8) :D :)

11 mins in...Found myself reaching for my bong, but it wasn't there anymore...hasn't been since 1987!!!

Strange how music can do that to ya!

Damn I'm doing it again, just found myself breathing deeply above a very large jar of local, organic honey...maaan , that was messy and no 'rush' either!

I really, really enjoyed it (music not the honey)from start to finish!!!

Loved the 'tabla drop' section somewhere around 14 mins +...took me by surprise did that bit!

Great build towards that big phaser or flanger ending with the crowd noise!

Is it perfectly produced - NO!
Is it a faultless performance - NO!

Then neither were most of Bowie's classics...WGAF - they worked and so does this!

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.
While it's nothing like a late 60s/early 70s band, I was trying to capture the feeling of listening to one. Seems like I succeeded, a little!
Thanks again. :tu:

F*ck the establishment!

The truth is out there, but let's hope that nobody ever finds it!

This is great - took me back!
Just an old bloke who likes listening to a wide range of music. I also fart quite a lot!

Thanks for listening and liking. :tu:

Ooops, the beginning suggests Synthy-Pop-Rock of the 80s! Very nicely
done, if a bit lengthy at first. But the sound and mood must first
develop in a spacious ambience, and an evenly grooving rhythm
emerges.

Not that great: The automatically generated video flickering irritates
me a bit. It rather disturbs the nice flowing groove. :(

I think this is good: nice relaxed feeling, good groove, chic guitars! :tu:
