My first attempt at building a track in blocks of midi in Cubase rather than trying to play a whole track live and my first attempt at using automation non live

Used Repro 1 sequencer for bassline and the upper arps in Repro 5, I played myself

Pads - Massive X (my favourite synth atm)

And feedback much appreciated

It sounded OK. I kept waiting for the drop to happen and instead it skipped to a breakdown. I was expecting a kick drum eventually. Maybe the name confused me a little and I was expecting the genre I think is called trance. And then when it went silent at 1:57 I again was expecting the drop but no, pretty much just more of the same. Piano sounded very nice though.

Thankyou for taking the time to reply yes I was trying to move it to somewhere less ambient but didn't get there I'll do some more research. I'm quite into melodic trance which I thought this just about fitted into the

Track does move on a bit (not as much as I wanted) after the silence (after 8 bars of the same as first part) I think I need to move it forward a bit though

Thankyou very much and thankyou for reply. It does have percussion kick and hi hat ? Wondering about previous comment about no kick drum too now.

Have I set the volume of the percussion track too low or is it not dynamic enough ?

Thanks again
