I'm thinking of moving some of my plugins (to save space on my main SSD) to either the internal HDD or a high-speed external SSD over USB 3.1 (to save space on my main SSD). Is this is a bad idea? Should I only move plugins that use minimal cpu, or is that irrelevant? (For context, I want to make room for Acustica emulations, which I'd assume should be on my main SSD since they're resource-intensive.)

I've already got my samples and Kontakt libraries on the internal HDD. But I guess an external SSD would be too slow for running plugins without prohibitive lag?... or not?
