No, you just get the full synth and some presets. The already available CA "Vintage Resonator" module models the resonator section so that's part of the way there.

Ah so the resonator is the same? That was the bit I was thinking would be most useful as a module.

no, and has also no seperate inputs (for resonator, filter, as the DCO for example), but the resonator part, was already available under the name "vintage resonator".

this in a way a full synth... CV controlled, everything, almost everything, that is the only modular thing.

it has seperate outputs for all stages, and a mix output.

it is a pity, like the MS-20 filter, that CV controls aren't polyphonic (for MPE...). also with the DCO and what was the name of the arp 2600/odessey crossover clone.

still bought it, the sound is great (don't now how accurate, but i think you know the cherry audio people are very into vintage synths and modulars, and own them, see the vid...).

ow (already answered...)

not completely the same. reso, gain aren't cv controlled with vintage resonator, only the frequence. not the Q, or gain..

Think I prefer the VCV Rack way of doing things re mono and poly where you just have the same module and if it can handle poly you can pass it a cable and it becomes a thick poly cable provided nothing along the route forces it into mono mode.
What neither of the systems have and what I'd find useful is an (optional, not mandatory) menu option to maybe have a standard highlight 'halo' colour as a boundary available around poly units to let them stand out more on screen to help differentiate units that are currently operating in poly mode from those in mono mode.

This is fixed now! Thanks again for letting us know.

Just a heads up that there's some kind of CSS styles issue on the web site now which means, for me on Chrome/Windows 10 at least, a lot of the text has become grey and when that's over a grey background, like on the header next to the Cherry Audio logo it means all the links like 'sign in' are effectively invisible now. I can rollover them to highlight them OK and they still work, but you'll probably want to fix that.

Just bought the 2 year collection - my price was updated for owning vintage synths, more than happy  :tu:
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I wished the manufacturers of VCOs and VCFs would indicate which chips their design emulates. I'm looking for modules with CEM3340, SSM2040 or SSM2044.

Check out this tutorial showing a method for building a complex patch with two Polymode modules. (Just imagine having two working Polymoogs sitting next to each other! A rare site indeed.)

Polymode sounds great- CA modules are really superb, the Year 2 deal is an absolute no brainer.

Even if people have no interest in modular you can just buy this and use the free version to access some world class 'VST's'- some people may be scared of with the '#modular' tag but these could be considered like stand alone 'Reaktor' instruments.

Ah well, just blew another hole in the budget! Polymode sounds totally amazing! I also upgraded to the entire MRB filter bundle as well as the SynDrum and Unfiltered Audio Distortion packs. So lots to play with. One thing I wish CA (or one of the third parties) would offer is a frequency to voltage converter. I know that the ESP-20 processor does offer a frequency to voltage output but seems less than optimal? Maybe I just don't know how to use it properly? In any event, Voltage Modular is becoming a bigger part of my sonic explorations every day! Thanks for a great bit of software!

Probably being thick here, but I just picked up the Weevil bundle and can't seem to find a way to stop either Wavetable oscillator from making continuous sound between notes e.g. here...

...see that low level wave trace on the scope.
It's not like I've got loads of gate tools within VM to remove that sound so having to do it with Pro-G in the DAW host which isn't ideal.

Same happens with the poly version too.

Edit: Been playing around and seems I can kind of remove most of it by using an Attenuverter between the amp and the main out to host, but seems like something I shouldn't have to do.

Edit Edit: I was being thick - hadn't noticed I'd nudged the amp gain up.

Oh and Polymode - oh boy the "New Phase" pad presets you get with it are gorgeous.

Hey, I dont think the gain knob of the amplifier is at 0, try right-clicking on the big amplifier knob, select edit and type in 0, I think that should solve it.

Most oscillator modules gives a constant output, you need to control the volume with a vca.

If it doesnt work, save the patch and send it to me, I can have a look (use the contact manufacturer link in the store.)

Will buy polymode know, people seem to like it.

Man, schoolboy error. Well spotted. I never touch the gain usually, it must have been nudged when I was dragging cables around. Cheers, sorry I brought your (excellent) module in to it as it was all my own cockup!

Oh and yeah Polymode's a real bargain at $15 (in the current sale). I've got Xils Labs's excellent PolyM plugin and it gives it a run for its money.

Polymode looks and sounds great, and the upgrade price for the Year Two Bundle makes it a no-brainer. I'm glad that it wasn't made into a fully polyphonic super version of the original, but one feature I would have liked to have seen is a polyphonic output taken after the VCAs before the voices are mixed to go to the filters. This wouldn't have changed the voice architecture, but would still have allowed further processing of the oscillators per voice.
Even without that, I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with it.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...
