Also that'd keep the no-chat thread notifications to a minimum and it'd make them more meaningful too.
They should have as much right to post as every other deal/product.

I don't think that is fair at all to them.
They don't participate here though, and we who do participate have to put up with their constant spamming of preset deals. Preset deals we're not interested in anyway, as when this topic comes back again and again, the consensus is pretty much to ban preset deals because they are not useful to the participants here.

Please speak for yourself.

I have no problem skipping past deals that don't interest me - including for presets/sound packs.

I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the relatively small number of people who repeatedly post their dislike represent the majority of people who read the thread.

Sure. In a designated "preset deals thread". Judging from the feedback here, that would serve the needs of the community better than having them post in the Bargains thread.
A well-behaved signature.

You want to gauge interest in posts in one thread by those motivated enough to post their views in another - one where there is a history of venom towards preset/soundpack posters?

Can you genuinely not see the flaw in that thinking?

At the very least it'd need to be a highly visible, simple and anonymous poll in the actual thread to have any merit.

In general, I’m OK with presets in the No Chat thread but I understand how much they tick people off because they have the habit of overcooking it: pics, big text, emojis etc. All for five bucks off. If they cooled it a bit they’d probably get less pushback, but there’s a bunch of them who can’t take the hint.

This exactly. I actually just noticed there are some presets sellers that I haven't foe'd, and that's because their posts "blend" with the rest. Only texts and links.

In the past there was one who had a week-long sale and he posted EVERYDAY reminding of the sale. That's very annoying too.

When a "sound designer" is posting three times a week in the thread, pushing his company's own products, it's no longer some bargain or sale. It's just repetitive behavior disguised to appear like a sale so he could do the same exact thing next week.

so you want to ban all preset sellers because of one of them?

No one said ban. There's a big difference.

Its been suggested to have a separate sticky thread for Bargain: Presets Only Thread. That way, those who like preset bargains can get their goods in a dedicated thread. The preset sellers who normally are independent (not 3rd party vendors, not larger companies) have a space to post day in day out if they want, without getting thumbed down because they are no longer spamming/clogging/diluting our dear Bargains Only thread. Its actually quite simple and would appear to work for everyone. It feels more optimised to most needs, perhaps a poll can sort the weight of that out?
