so now the deciding factor is how much effort is put into the product?Rational wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 1:45 am For me, Kontakt libraries should be here and in the main no chat thread. They're fine. In fact, they're an instrument and just like effect plugins why I'm here.
I'm mostly not wanting to see any preset pak offers anymore. As for loop libraries.. undecided. I mostly don't care either way but I do buy those at times and don't mind seeing those here. Such as Sample from Mars, etc. In fact there are a lot of great sample shops out there that put great effort into it and are great values for our main thread I believe.

You are lumping them all together saying they all spam and that simply isn't true.Rational wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 1:59 am I knew you were going to say that. And how obnoxious and repetitive their post are.

I'm making the deciding factor the value they bring or don't bring to the group based on voiced preference over time. I've not entered into this topic the last six times it was brought up but am ready for it to end. If you find value in preset paks then sub the new thread to monitor the offers.
Preset pak vendors. Take note. More of us find your offers a HUGE negative to how you're perceived and lessen the likelihood you'll obtain a sale. Smart marketers target their marketing appropriately so as to generate goodwill and not generate a negative reputation in the market. Up to you but I suggest you use the new thread.

Thanks to Rational for wearing the pants and making the separate thread now a thing, hopefully a sticky real soon. It was a good little discussion but sadly not many good reasons to defend preset packs from not been segregated from the main bargains thread.

I've not seen many real good reasons to remove them all either. A lot of fluff reasons.Insanelysane wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 2:39 am Thanks to Rational for wearing the pants and making the separate thread now a thing, hopefully a sticky real soon. The use of the term „segregation“ is completely inappropriate.

It's more separated than segregated, isn't it?
Doesn't really matter either way but segregated comes with a bit of baggage in terms of meaning so I personally wouldn't use it here.

I take offense to separated since many people get divorced so let's not use that either.revvy wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 3:26 am It's more separated than segregated, isn't it?

Let me see, when was the last tine I used segregated outside of a political context? Hmm, that'd be never. I know you''re a SIW but no need to ham it up so much? Use whatever the f**k word you want but spare us the the confected drama you no doubt purport to abhor.ATS wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 3:35 amI take offense to separated since many people get divorced so let's not use that either.revvy wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 3:26 am It's more separated than segregated, isn't it?

Just because you don't use the word doesn't mean a thing. Obviously it was just used in a total innocent way that was totally correct.revvy wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 3:41 amLet me see, when was the last tine I used segregated outside of a political context? Straw man, I never accused anyone of anything, least of all insensitivity. So many non-expert users of English on here I wouldn't presume to school them. I was referring to your reply, engaging with you. I even said it doesn't really matter.ATS wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 3:44 amJust because you don't use the word doesn't mean a thing. Word got baggage, you know it, even if you pretend not to.
