So, any word about fixing the latency issue ?

Excellent question.

Unify is a plug-in (and stand-alone app) for making and playing multi-layered sounds using other plug-ins. It comes with many plug-ins of its own, and a library of 505 ready-to-go patches, but you can also use your own plug-ins. Setting up layers and splits in Unify is easier than in many DAWs, and you can save them for use in future projects.

Here's a shorter video with a nice overview at the beginning: .

You can try out the free Demo version to see for yourself: https://www.pluginguru.com/products/unify-demo/

I'm working on this for the v1.2 release.

Hi there,
I'm very interested about using Unify to move my patches between FL Studio; that is my preferred DAW, to Live Ableton that is more stable and reliable. I love Patcher and I think yours is OK. The problem with FL Studio is that it has problems saving/loading presets in some VST3 plugins, being Output Movement the one I care the most. Unfortunately I can not test if Unify supports well Movement or other plugins, because the FL Studio developers said the problem was about that plugins using an old SDK, but Ableton Live loads these plugins well, and the DEMO doesn't allow saving/loading custom patches. Is there any way I can test this before buying? Or can I get a refund if I see Unify is not working with these plugins?

Hi @exdev. I have passed your request to John Lehmkuhl to see what he can suggest. Please email him as UnifySupport@PlugInGuru.com and he will respond to you directly.

Yea, Unify is multi-touch capable.
My Multi-touch 23" monitor is Viewsonic TD2340, 1920x1080.
At 125% it is multi-touch friendly.
but at 100% not so.

Unify is like taking my Native Instruments Kore2 software, mixing with my Akai VIP software and finally producing a product that actually works the way it was supposed to in the first place. :D

getdunne wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2020 1:51 pm ComboBox is a new feature we're working on for the next version of Unify. It allows connecting plug-ins in ways the main interface does not. It's not like a modular synth, though, because regular plug-ins lack control signals; they have only MIDI and audio in/out.
So, sort of like Bidule or Patcher or Reaktor?
But ComboBox will be integrated into Unify.
It will have virtual midi and audio cables I assume.
I believe I will really  ComboBox.
Similar to Bidule or Patcher, which also connect plug-ins. Reaktor is much more powerful, because it works with its own modules (which are not ordinary plug-ins).

Yes, it will be integrated into Unify, and yes, it has virtual MIDI/audio cables. I hope you do like it!
Good chance I will like it.
1. Will ComboBox include any native audio or midi modules?
2. Do you have a list of features?
3. When will it be released or be included in Unify?
4. The silly question, why COMBO and why BOX.

4. The silly question, why COMBO and why BOX.
  1. ComboBox can use all of Unify's existing built-in and bundled plug-ins, including some, like the mda Vocoder, which are not useful without it, and it can also load third-party plug-ins. We might add one or two very simple new ones, but I'm not prepared to promise anything for the initial release. Over time, we'll probably add more bits and pieces, based on feedback from sound designers and users.
  2. Not yet. Is there anything specific you're looking for?
  3. We hope to release ComboBox with v1.2.x of Unify some time in October, to coincide with the release of the PlugInGuru DiscoverStation orchestral library, which requires it.
  4. Combo because it allows arbitrary plug-in combinations, which it binds into a single "combination" plug-in. Box because it's a "sandbox" in which to play with all your plug-ins.

Is there any benefit to use ComboBox over Bidule?
I ask as I am used to using Bidule.

Oh, one more question, will ComboBox be able to use 32bit plugins?

ComboBox will have access to Unify's built-in plug-ins; Bidule or any similar external "combinator" type plug-in will not.

If Bidule (or Blue Cat's Patchwork, or New Sonic Arts' Freestyle, DDMF MetaPlugin, etc.) works well for you, and you're used to it, you should definitely continue using it inside Unify.
will ComboBox be able to use 32bit plugins?
Not directly, but you can use jBridge on Windows or 32 Lives on Mac. You can also use any of several network bridging solutions including my own (limited, but free) NetVST, all the way up to the awesome (but expensive) Vienna Ensemble Pro.

Out of genuine curiosity: Which 32-bit plug-ins would you want to use?

I have a custom made 32 bit VST for midi mapping.
I have several 32 bit VST midi fx which I may use.

I already have jBridge installed so I can freely use 32bit VST's.

Hi everyone. Unify v1.2 is now available; see https://www.pluginguru.com/products/unify-standard/. Updates can be downloaded directly from our partner ILIO: https://www.ilio.com/unify-updates. (As of v1.2, there is no longer a distinction between PlugInGuru and ILIO versions of Unify.)
