I thought about making a vaporwave song, but I barely know the genre, so without proper study I came up with something like this instead. Besides all the obvious lo-fi noise (and my crappy guitar playing - this can't be helped), is there anything particular I should work on? https://soundcloud.com/funny_angle/fuzz ... wRyKk37ynx

It's part of the "charm", or at least I think it is. (lots of Lorn, Tame Impala and Beatles on my playlists lately) Original idea sampled, slowed and downtuned before additional elements. Inevitable loss of quality and good dose of saturation on almost everything. Thank you for your time :)

i really enjoyed the chill downtempo of this, especially the flanged drums.
very psychadelic, head trippy. think i'll spin it again.
AND...whenever a song sounds good frequency spectrum-wise, i look
at it with the spec-analyzer.... sure enough... looks good :tu:

and like alex said, you might want to reduce some of the overdrive on some elements. its stylish and all, but on hats and HF sounds it translates into high end blurriness. its more effective on mids and lows.

Cool sounds and nice use of the flanger. Nice vibe to it. Layzer has some good advice, don't put everything through lots of effects. You should make your guitar parts louder...
Well done!

Thanks guys for reviewing, here is an updated version. I split the main track in two bands, saturated only the low-mid part. Thank you for suggestions. It's still quite noisy, but I think I'll leave it that way. https://soundcloud.com/funny_angle/fuzzy-memories-1

Getting an Umami vibe (youtuber/animator). Nostalgic sounds and textures. Drums sound electronic but powerful. I like the choice of sounds, and whilst you say the playing is a little sloppy it does work as a whole.
Find me on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp etc.
