Can't figure out how to remake a sound

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

I have asked this question in another forum but I was recommended to try this one insted.

So I'm new to music production but finally decided to get started. I just kinda wanna f**k around and figure things out by myself with some sounds I'd love to hear more often in music. For a long time whenever I was listening to this band I always felt inspired, so I decided I wanted to find a vst that could help me recreate a specific sound. I guess it's an electric guitar but I have no idea how this effect is achived (neither in real life, nor on a vst - I'm not only new to music production but to instruments in general).
The sound I'm talking about specifically:
3:13 (besides the drums, and the obvious guitar sound)
I think it's the same instrument, right?
I hope I managed to get my idea across.

Thanks in advance!

If you are referring to the high pitched noise, in the background. It sounds like a 'Pinched Harmonic' played on an electric guitar. The best way to get the realistic sound is by getting a guitarist to collab and send you a sample.
