Hello all.

A strange question perhaps, but I want to know.

I sold my Steinberg Dongel to someone on ebay.
It contains two licens.
I bought a new Dongel for that deal and transfered the license from my dongel to the brand new on.
Steinberg page says: " First the license on the soucre dongel gets erased, than it got written on the new dongel."

When he registeres the dongel on his steinberg account, does he get the exact simmelar license, that I transferd to his dongel?
Or do they change little things or something to make it work for him?

Cheers

A bit hard to understand this one :ud:

When you transfer a license from one key {elicenser} to another it gets written to it and erased from the original{first one}.
The elicensers are in no way connected\linked.
So whatever you do to any of them affects
Only the one you are dealing with.

Make sure you always have your elicenser registered to your account .
When you're selling keep it registered until a buyer confirms he received it and then unregister it so he can register..

I'm talking from my experience.
There were a few issues I had and still don't understand but...it's all good atmo.
Bye. :ud:

Ok.

Thanks so fare.
Only thing I want to find out is, does the buyer get a new license, or one in some way altered code, (from the license he bought from me), when he registers the new dongel to his account ?

They must add some sort of information, that this dongel is connected to his account, or not?

The buyer will get the exact license code nothing will change. He will have the Key and he will have the elicenser registered to his account.

You won't be able to use it anymore.
License can only be active on one elicenser.

Steinberg has a way of tracing elicensers.. all the transfers from the start\first activation\
All users who had it . the elicensers it was activated on...etc.

Thanks for your answer.

Well, I am not planing to send my Dongel, I bought a new on.
I will transfer the licenses from my dongel to the new on and send
it to the buyer.
Than I will delet my licenser in my Steinberg account.
That should work or not?

The buyer just registers the licenser and can use the software.
